4th of July, heat index 107 and our air conditioning developed problems, called Charlie's to get on the list. Expected that they were probably covered up due to the heat. Was extremely surprised to get a call from Shawn saying he could be there in an hour. He found the problem quickly and had us back in the comfort zone. Have always had great service from Charlie's and this just reinforces that.

AC Maintenance PCSA 2025 AC Check Up Prepaid Tech does the maintenance on the units tech. Tech checks, the wire connections, change the filters, and flushed out the drain on the indoor unit. Tech proceed to go to the outdoor unit and check the wire connections the Freon, and hosed out the condenser coil. Units are ready for cooling season.

2025 PCSA AC Check Up Renewal AC Maintenance Tech check the indoor unit for cooling season. Tech changed the filter and checked all the connections and electronics. The indoor unit is good for cooling season. Tech proceeded to go to the outdoor unit. Tech checked all the connections, checked all the electronics, and checked the capacitor, checked the Freon and the Freon was good. Tech also sprayed out the condenser coil. Outdoor unit is good for cooling season.
Completed spring AC maintenance on a 2-ton Carrier unit. Condenser coil cleaned with foaming cleaner, amp draw on compressor at 8.1A (within range). Capacitor tested 39.6 µF out of 40 µF spec. Refrigerant levels normal. Checked float switch operation and cleaned drain trap. All components functioning as expected for cooling season.
AC system not cycling properly. Traced issue to failed thermostat wire shorting Y and G terminals. Re-ran 18/5 low-voltage wiring, sealed connections with silicone to protect against attic heat damage. System now starts and shuts off correctly. Also tightened loose wire nuts in air handler junction box. System tested through full cooling cycle.
Customer had high humidity and inconsistent cooling. Found blower wheel caked in debris and motor capacitor weak (tested 4.1 µF out of 5 µF). Removed blower assembly, cleaned wheel with degreaser, replaced capacitor, and reset blower speed for high cooling. Post-repair humidity dropped from 68% to 51% indoor RH within 2 hours.

2025 PSCA Heating Check Up Renewal Heating Maintenance Completed heating maintenance, coils are clean, replaced filters, south system was working properly, north system operation had no issues but had a faulty thermostat not letting me change temperature and stuck in a “low battery” alert, replaced thermostat and verified system operation Both systems are heating at this time
